A command is one specific thing StreamWizard knows how to ask a connected platform to do, or to report back — sending a chat message, adding a VIP, looking up a viewer's ID, and so on. Today that's Twitch, Discord and OBS; this list keeps growing as StreamWizard connects more platforms.
Every command falls into one of two groups, and which node/action you use depends on which group it's in:
- Commands that look something up and just report back — these show up in the Retrieve node (see the Nodes page). They don't change anything on the connected platform, so they're safe to call as often as you like.
- Commands that actually change or create something — these show up in the Command action (see the Nodes page). This is the bigger group, and it's how a Flow reaches out and does something real.
You'll never see a command in the wrong place — the Retrieve node only ever offers you lookups, and the Command action only ever offers you the rest.

Channel
- Get User By Name — A Twitch user's ID and basic info, by their username.
- Get User Information — Basic info for a Twitch user, by their Twitch ID.
- Get Channel Information — A channel's title, category, language and name, by its Twitch ID.
- Get Your Channel Information — Your own channel's name, ID and description.

- Get Chat Settings — Whether slow mode, follower-only, subscriber-only, emote-only and unique-messages-only are on, and their wait times.
- Get Pinned Chat Message — The message pinned in your chat right now: what it says, who sent it and who pinned it.
- Get Non-Bot Message Count — How many chat messages have been sent since you, and separately since any of your bot accounts, last posted — perfect for a timer that only speaks up once chat's had a chance to breathe.
Moderation
- Get Banned User Status — Whether a viewer is banned or timed out, why, and until when.
- Get Moderator Status — Whether a viewer is one of your moderators.
- Get VIP Status — Whether a viewer is one of your VIPs.
Revenue
- Get Subscription Status — Whether a viewer is subscribed (their tier, and whether it was a gift and from whom), plus your total number of subscribers.
- Get Bits Leaderboard — Your top 3 cheerers and how many Bits each gave, for the period you choose — great for a "top cheerer" shoutout Flow.
- Get Ad Schedule — When your next ad break is due, and other ad-scheduling details.
Rewards
- Get Custom Reward — One of your custom channel point rewards, by its ID: name, cost and settings.
- Get Custom Reward Redemption — One redemption of a reward: who redeemed it, what they typed, and whether it's fulfilled.
Stream
- Get Own Stream — Whether you're live, plus your title, category, viewer count and when you went live.
- Get Clip — A clip's details, by its ID: title, link, views, length and who made it.
- Get Clip URL — The download links of a clip.
- Get Category By Name — A Twitch category (game) by its exact name, for example to get the ID that Modify Stream Game Category needs.
Each bold heading above matches the tag you'll see next to each command in the Retrieve node's own list (e.g. [Channel], [Revenue]) — handy for scanning the dropdown once you know roughly what you're after.
- Get Member By ID — Info about a member of your server by their Discord ID: username, display name, nickname and when they joined. Needs no special permission. Is Member? tells you whether they're in your server.
- Get Member By Username — Finds a member of your server by their exact username (the one after @, not their nickname) and gives you their Discord ID, username, display name and nickname. Pick which server to search. Is Member? tells you whether anybody there has that exact username.
- Get Ban Status — Whether a person is banned from your server (Is Banned?) and why, by their Discord ID. Needs the Ban Members permission.
Every OBS lookup comes in two versions: By Name takes the exact name you see in OBS, By ID takes an ID from an OBS event or from an earlier lookup. Names can change, IDs never do. If nothing in OBS matches, the scene and source lookups answer No to Scene Exists?, Source Exists? or Source in Scene Exists? and the Flow carries on, just like a Twitch or Discord lookup (see below). If OBS isn't running, the lookup counts as failed.
- Get OBS Status — What OBS is doing right now: Current Scene OBS ID and Name, Preview Scene OBS ID and Name (Studio Mode only), Is Studio Mode On?, Is Streaming?, Stream Started At, Stream Duration (seconds), Is Recording?, Is Recording Paused?, Recording Duration (seconds), Current Profile Name, Current Scene Collection Name and OBS Version.
- Get Scene Information By Name / By ID — Scene Exists?, Scene OBS ID, Scene Name, Is Current Scene? (live right now) and Is Preview Scene?.
- Get Source Information By Name / By ID — Source Exists?, Source OBS ID, Source Name, Source Type, Has Audio?, Is Muted?, Volume (dB), Audio Sync Offset (ms), Audio Monitor Type, and Is Showing On Stream? (visible in the live scene).
- Get Source in Scene Information By Name / By ID — one source in one scene: Source in Scene Exists?, Source in Scene OBS ID, Source OBS ID and Name, Scene OBS ID and Name, Is Visible?, Is Locked?, and Order Index (its place in the scene's source list, 0 = bottom). By Name needs both the scene's and the source's name.
This is also the group to reach for whenever another command asks for a Twitch ID and you only have a username — run Get User By Name first with a Retrieve node, then feed its result into whatever you were trying to do.
When a lookup finds nothing. Every lookup that can come up empty also gives you a yes/no answer, listed first among its properties: Viewer Exists?, Streamer Exists?, Category Exists?, Clip Exists?, Reward Exists?, Redemption Exists?, Is Message Pinned?, Is Next Ad Scheduled?, Bits Leader 1 Exists? (and 2, 3), Is Member?, Is Following?, Are You Following?, Is VIP?, Is Moderator?, Is Banned?, Is Subscribed?, Is Live?, Scene Exists?, Source Exists? or Source in Scene Exists?. When the name or ID belongs to nobody, that answer is No and the Flow carries on: names come back as "Anonymous", other text as "null", numbers as 0, other yes/no answers as No, and dates as 2000-01-01 00:00:00. Wire the yes/no answer into the Condition (optional) point of the actions that need the real thing (see Nodes). For example, a !points bob command can say "nobody's called bob" when Viewer Exists? is No, and show bob's points when it's Yes. See Flow ideas for worked examples using these.
¶ ⚡ Doing something (Command)
Not every connected account can run every command below. Your own account can run all of them — StreamWizard requests whatever permission it needs, the moment you publish a Flow that uses it. A bot account (see Account), on the other hand, only ever gets a fixed, safe subset — chat and moderation only, nothing that could surprise you. Concretely, a bot account's Type list only offers:
Send Chat Message, Send Chat Announcement, Pin and Unpin Chat Message, Create Shoutout, Ban Viewer, Timeout Viewer, Cancel Viewer Ban/Timeout, Warn Viewer, Delete Chat Messages, Clear Chat, Add and Remove Blocked Term, Activate/Deactivate Shield Mode, and the six Start/Stop chat modes (Slow Mode, Follower Only, Subscriber Only, Emotes Only, Unique Messages Only, Non-Moderator Chat Delay).
Anything not on that list — polls, predictions, raids, clips, channel point rewards, stream settings, ads, VIPs, moderators — needs your own account as the Executor. This is also why the two matter differently for a shared Flow: pick a bot account when you want messages and actions to visibly come from "MyChannelBot" instead of you, and fall back to your own account the moment a Flow needs to touch something the bot isn't allowed near.
Chat
- Send Chat Message — Sends a message in chat, optionally as a reply to another message.
- Send Chat Announcement — Sends a highlighted announcement in chat, in the color you choose.
- Pin Chat Message / Unpin Chat Message — Pins a message to the top of chat (for as long as you set), or unpins it.
- Start Poll / End Poll — Starts a poll with up to 5 options (optionally with extra votes for channel points), or ends one early.
- Start Prediction — Starts a prediction with up to 10 outcomes.
- End Prediction — Locks a prediction so nobody can predict anymore, or cancels it and gives everyone their points back.
- Resolve Prediction — Declares the winning outcome, and the viewers who picked it get the points. If nobody resolves a prediction within 24 hours after voting closes, Twitch cancels it.
- Create Shoutout — Shouts out another streamer in your chat.
- Start/Stop Slow Mode Chat, Follower Only Chat, Subscriber Only Chat, Emotes Only Chat, Unique Messages Only Chat, Non-Moderator Chat Delay — Turns these chat modes on or off.
- Activate/Deactivate Shield Mode
Moderation
- Ban Viewer / Timeout Viewer / Cancel Viewer Ban/Timeout / Warn Viewer

Revenue
- Start Ad/Commercial — Runs an ad (Affiliates and Partners only, while live).
- Snooze Next Ad — Pushes your next automatic ad back by 5 minutes, when a snooze is available.
Every Discord Command runs as the StreamWizard bot and points at a server, channel, category or thread you pick from a dropdown (see Nodes for how the pickers work). Each one also needs a Discord permission for the bot on that server or channel; it is shown in brackets after the command. Give the bot the permission with a role in Server Settings → Roles. StreamWizard checks it when you publish the Flow (see Flows).
Many Discord Commands have an optional Audit Log Reason box. Whatever you type there shows up in your server's Audit Log next to the action, so your mods can see why the bot did it.

- Delete Message — Deletes a message. (the bot needs Manage Messages)
- Pin Message / Unpin Message — Pins or unpins a message. (the bot needs Pin Messages)
- Add Reaction — Reacts to a message with an emoji. (the bot needs Add Reactions)
- Remove User Reaction — Removes one person's reaction from a message. (the bot needs Manage Messages)
- Clear All Reactions / Clear Emoji Reactions — Removes every reaction from a message, or every reaction of one emoji. (the bot needs Manage Messages)

- Create Announcement Thread — Starts a thread in an announcement channel. (the bot needs Create Public Threads)
- Create Private Thread — Starts a private thread in a text channel. (the bot needs Create Private Threads)
- Add Thread Member — Adds a person to a thread. (the bot needs Send Messages in Threads)
- Remove Thread Member — Removes a person from a thread. (the bot needs Manage Threads)

Scheduled events and server
- Create Voice Channel Event / Create Stage Event — Schedules an event in a voice or stage channel you pick. (the bot needs Create Events)
- Create External Event — Schedules an event that happens outside Discord, at a place you describe. It needs an end time. (the bot needs Create Events)

- Update Guild Settings — Changes the server's name or description. (the bot needs Manage Guild)
- Create Invite — Creates an invite link for a channel. (the bot needs Create Instant Invite)
Timeout Member, the three Create ... Event commands and Update Event take a date and time. Wire in a Datetime, for example a Create value set to Datetime, run through a Delay node to move it forward. A timeout can last at most 28 days from now.
When Discord only accepts certain values (a channel type, a role color, how long an invite or an archived thread lasts, and so on), the box is a dropdown. Hover over an entry to see what it does. Set Permission Overwrite lets you tick several permissions at once. Values that can only be one thing, like the type of a stage event, are filled in for you.
OBS Commands reach your OBS through the StreamWizard browser source (see Account), so OBS has to be running with that source in it, otherwise the Command fails. There are no permissions to set up: whatever you can do in OBS, a Flow can do too.
A Command points at a scene or source in one of two ways:
- Picked from a list in the node (Scene, Source, Source in Scene). The list shows what's in your OBS, so you just pick your "Be Right Back" scene or your mic.
- An ID wired in: pick I will connect the ID, the first entry of the list, and the ID input shows up on the node. Wire in an ID from an OBS event or a Get ... Information lookup, so the Command also works on things a Flow created after you published it.
Scenes
- Switch Scene — Switches OBS to the scene you pick.
- Switch Preview Scene — Switches the preview scene (Studio Mode only).
- Create Scene — Creates a new, empty scene with the name you give it.
- Rename Scene / Delete Scene — Renames or deletes the scene you pick.
Sources
- Set Source Visibility — Shows or hides a source in a scene (Is Visible?).
- Set Source Lock — Locks or unlocks a source in a scene (Is Locked?).
- Reorder Source — Moves a source in its scene's source list (Order Index 0 = bottom).
- Add Source To Scene — Places an existing source into a scene, visible or hidden.
- Remove Source From Scene — Removes a source from one scene (pick it under Source in Scene). The source itself stays.
- Create Browser Source / Create Image Source / Create Media Source — Creates a new source in a scene: a web page (by its URL), an image, or a video or audio file. A file is given by its full path on the computer running OBS, e.g. C:\Stream\logo.png.
- Rename Source / Delete Source — Renames or deletes the source you pick. Deleting removes it from every scene.
- Set Source Mute — Mutes or unmutes an audio source (Is Muted?).
- Set Volume — Sets an audio source's volume in whole decibels, from -60 (almost silent) to 0 (full volume).
- Set Audio Sync Offset — Delays a source's audio, in milliseconds.
- Set Audio Monitoring Off / Set Audio Monitoring To Monitor Only / Set Audio Monitoring To Monitor And Output — Whether you hear a source in your own headphones. Monitor Only mutes it on stream and in recordings; Monitor And Output keeps it there too.
